Thing 1 and Thing 2

and sally and i
did not know what to do.
so we had to shake hands
with Thing One and Thing Two.
we shook their two hands.
but our fish said, 'no! no!
those Things should not be
in this house! make them go!
they should not be here
when your mother is not!
put them out! put them out!'
said the fish in the pot.

Children in Tennessee will now have "Parent 1" and "Parent 2" instead of a mother and a father, according to Tennessee’s Administrative Office of the Courts.

Who gets to be Parent 1 and who is deemed to be Parent 2? How about boxes for Parent 3 and Parent 4, as well?

In the meantime, we should start changing words in various books to reflect the new teminology.  In the excerpt above from Dr; Seuss, should mother be replaced by Parent 1 or Parent 2?  Similarly, President Obama's book, Dreams from my Father should be changed to Dreams from my Co-parent.
How about the Ten Commandments? Honor your Parent 1 and Parent 2.

Reading the comments under the article I saw someone had written a response to an indvidual who had posted a comment.

Hey Blake! I found this quote on your FB page, which is dedicated to bashing Jews and Israel: "So nauseating how seriously messed up in the head people are they get the publicity because the media is zionist owned."

So, Blake's quotes on his Facebook page are not deemed offensive?
