The pizza habit

Avot 2:21
"Lo Alecha HaMelacha Ligmor, Velo' Atah ben Chorin Le'Hibatel Mimenah'"
"It is neither incumbent upon you to finish the task, nor are you free to desist from it."

The following are excerpts from two Yahoo articles about women who made a difference because they didn't say, "it's not my responsibility."

  1. Rav Yitzchak Ginsburg taught a few months ago that the geulah depends on women's prayers. He mentioned a midrash that says that Hashem created the world to hear the whisperings of righteous women (nashim tzadkaniyot) - which could either mean the words of chesed in their conversations with each other or the prayers they utter to Hashem.
